MICON's RokLok™ binder system is designed for consolidating bad rock conditions in mines. RokLok is a two component liquid system of Polymeric Isocyanate and Polyol Resin. The polyurethane components are used underground and on the surface to stabilize incompetent geology, control the influx of water and to fill existing voids above false roofs and liners. Direct results of using RokLok™ is that the strata will regain load-bearing competence. RokLok™ acheives 90% of its final strength in just two hours. The ensuing homogeneous mass maintains its integrity under stress. The process was developed in Germany by Bergbau-Forschung Gmbh of Essen-Kray (The research center of the German Coal Mining Industry). |

RokLok™ is used ONLY as a supplemental method of ground control. RokLok™ is available in five systems, each have unique characteristics. |
